We are committed to giving back

SDG Monitor is a proud member of Pledge 1% community! We give back by pledging time, sharing our knowledge and expertise in our bi-weekly webinars and co-joint events with our growing network of partnerships.

What is Pledge 1%?

Pledge 1% is a global movement that inspires, educates, and empowers every entrepreneur, company, and employee to be a force for good by pledging their equity/time/product/profit. Over 12,000 members in 100+ countries have used Pledge 1%’s flexible framework.

How we pledge?

We pledge 1% of our time through the bi-weekly webinars where we share our knowledge and expertise on sustainability leadership and SDGs. We are in the course of creating a global community of sustainability entrepreneurs, consultants and specialists working to make businesses more sustainable. Moreover, we want to increase the number of women and girls in technology by taking university students to make an internship in our company as well as 8th or 9th graders on an introduction period to the working life "TET-jakso" https://www.tetjakso.fi/ for a 1-2 week period per student at a time. In total we want to support at least five students annually to spend either their internship or their TET-jakso at SDG Monitor.

As part of our data sharing principle we want to support university students who are doing research on measuring sustainability in business context and integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in their Bachelor's or Master's Thesis by giving a free access to our cloud-based tool. We have already given empirical interviews to Master's candidates at Lund University, Sweden on our approach to measure, communicate and showing companies impacts towards reaching the SDGs.

SDG Monitor is proud to join the Pledge 1% community and we encourage other companies to take the pledge and leverage their business as a force for good. To learn more about Pledge 1% and to take the pledge visit www.pledge1percent.org.
